Calls are mounting from different stakeholders for the government to immediately retrieve the container at Lily Mine in Barberton, Mpumalanga.
ActionSA, together with the families of the miners trapped in the container, Pretty Nkambule, Yvonne Mnisi and Solomon Nyirenda, held the 10th annual commemoration of the incident.
The container they were working in was buried under rocks when the ground caved in, in 2016.
