In this presentation we will hear Dr. Deirdre Kearney describing the final part of a research series exploring the implementation of a systemic model of positive behaviour support at scale or Setting Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
Other studies in the series included:
A systematic review of the literature on implementation of SWPBS
A Workplace Development Program in Tier 1
A Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) examining the implementation of Tier 1 SWPBS.
A process evaluation of the RCT (to better understand the findings of the RCT at a granular level)
A qualitative exploration of the barriers and facilitators to implementation (staff perspectives)
This roadmap is a culmination of the findings of the previous studies and aims to provide an evidence based framework for organisations to implement SWPBS at scale. Finally this presentation employs conceptual frameworks from implementation science to apply the findings from the research series in pragmatic ways.
