Muscle car bronze distributor gears are required for use on some roller cams, but must be replaced periodically.
Many hot rodders out there have brass or bronze distributor gears in your muscle cars when you are running roller camshafts. These are sacrificial wear items and need to be checked periodically. I'm going to show you an example of a well-worn gear with about 10,000 miles on it.
