1972 AMC Javelin AMX 401 automatic

Описание: The GOOD:
I purchased the AMX in 2009 and spent the last 14 years collecting parts and restoring it.
True "Z-code" car with 401 cubic inch engine.
Always starts and runs very strong. The wheels will chirp when going to all three gears. VERY fast car!!!
Lights, blinkers, and door locks all work.
The entire car has been freshly detailed. All records of maintenance have been kept.
There is MINIMAL rust. I have owned three Javelins and this has the least amount of rust by far.
Has 4 Spyder wheels by Motor Wheels in great shape. The tires have 200 miles on them. Also a full-size spare in the trunk mounted on an original slot wheel with trim ring.
All controls and duct work for A/C present on the car. All other hardware (compressor, condenser, hoses, evaporator) has been removed.
All chrome, glass, and lenses are present.
Drum brakes on all four wheels work good.
All maintenance records, original owner's manual, and original sale receipt are there.

The BAD:
The engine leaks oil from the rear main seal. The engine also has a slight knock at times and will need a rebuild at some point.
The car always fires up, but needs to warm up for at least two minutes.
There is a tic tock tach installed, but none of the gauges are hooked up. The blinkers and headlights work well. I have the original gauge cluster. There is no radio installed.
The air conditioning hardware has been removed. Also, the heater has been bypassed.
The wipers do not work. The motor is bad and the arms are not connected.
The horns have been removed, but wiring is functional.
The grille tub is not installed. I have it, but it is in pretty rough shape. I fabricated braces for the mesh grille and blinkers and they work good.
Could use an alignment. The tires only have 150 miles on them, but they are over ten years old.
There is no carpet installed. The interior is about 75% black.
Car was painted black with minor front end body repairs done in 1998. The paint looks great from five feet. However, on closer inspection there are many imperfections and a few cracks. The worst are shown in the video. There is MINIMAL rust. I have owned three Javelins and this has the least rust by far. The bumpers are acceptable, but could use straightening and a rechrome.
There is considerable hood damage. It has been repaired, but more repairs or a new hood may be in order. See video for hood damage. The latch works fine and the hinges are new.
