Описание: Welcome to my latest offering of Northern Soul delights. Some mellow and down tempo stuff here for those of us that can't manage the dance floor dynamics of our youth. A battle of the groups with The Steptones, The Platters and The Tempos all taking on the same tune. The Platters on a Yugoslavian release just shades it for me. As usual some hard core rarities, a few unknowns a bit of blue eyed stomping and plenty of underplayed gems. A few bits of obscure do-wop northern, a slice of Latin Boogaloo, a dose or two of girl group angst, some Carolinas killers and my normal array of alternative versions of classic tunes. A visit to Memphis for a couple of Stax rare ones. Some vocal gymnastics from Leon Peterson and French superstar Dick Rivers losing his mind on an Otis Redding cover. Great stuff all round.
