The staffers were killed while leaving an event outside the Capital Jewish Museum, on May 21, night. The suspect chanted "Free Palestine" after he was taken into custody, officials said. The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were a young couple about to get engaged. Israeli embassies around the world immediately stepped up security. Israel faces sustained international condemnation for its escalating Gaza military offensive, while Jewish advocacy groups have warned of a rise in anti-Semitic incidents globally. Netanyahu also said that the Israeli army "regret" the shooting incident that occurred in Jenin, when the military fired near a diplomatic delegation, which it said deviated from an approved route in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday (May 21). Diplomatic sources said European diplomats were part of the delegation to the West Bank city of Jenin.
