India has signed an agreement to join Pax Silica – a US-led coalition that is aimed at building a resilient supply chain for critical minerals and artificial intelligence.
The US launched the Pax Silica initiative in December last year.
The member nations of the Pax Silica include Australia, Greece, Israel, Japan, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
The move comes amid efforts by India and the United States to finalise a proposed trade deal and move forward on several other initiatives to strengthen bilateral ties following a period of severe strain in relations.
