Why LOVE VICTOR was Disappointing | Coming Out Stories on Television

At the center of Hulu's LOVE, VICTOR is Victor Salazar's coming out story, but how effective is this show at portraying this coming out narrative within the show's teen drama framework. I examine the show's first season and delve into some of the issues with the titular character and his narrative that I found frustrating, especially when compared to other queer coming out stories--those featured on Netflix's One Day at a Time and Disney Plus's Diary of a Future President.
