I do not own the copyright to any of these songs. I am uploading this mix tape as I believe it is of historical interest to anyone who was a part of the free party scene in the early to mid 1990s in the UK.
Smokescreen was a Sheffield-based sound system who played in and around south Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I wanted to upload this as I feel that especially Nottingham and Sheffield were somewhat underrepresented in terms of their contributions to rave and tribal dance in this era.
The only date on the tape is March 1995.
The original tape contained Chicago Blues, Mood ll Swing. This has been trimmed by YouTube to avoid copyright infringement, but the 90 tape is now over 2 hours so not sure what happened there!
