You know the difference between a cardinal and a blue jay. You know that some birds migrate while others stick around all year. You’ve spent plenty of time watching songbirds at your feeder and little shorebirds running around on the beach. You’re ready to take your birding knowledge to the next level. This crash course in ornithology will cover taxonomy, molt, migration, birding by ear, and tips for identifying those tricky shorebirds that all look alike. We will finish up by looking at some species that migrate to Florida and stay the winter!
