Today was a true feeding frenzy with over 80 visits to the feeder!
Visitors included Carolina Wrens, Northern Cardinals, House Finches, an Eastern Bluebird, Dark-eyed Juncos, a Brown-headed Cowbird, and a beautiful Downy Woodpecker.
The House Finches were especially lively, with plenty of bickering and competition as they tried to claim their spot. The Downy Woodpecker made a special appearance, bringing a classic backyard woodland touch.
Memphis sits along the Mississippi Flyway, making every day an opportunity to see both resident birds and seasonal visitors.
