Infant Mental Health Program at Denver Health
Denver Health has a team of Infant Mental Health Specialists available to children who come for pediatric primary care appointments at all of our Community Health Centers.
Our team of licensed psychologists, professional counselors, or social workers help with prevention, health promotion and intervention for families with young children ages 5 and under. This video explains how the program helps both the children and their caregivers, through the eyes of a family who has used it from their daughter's birth.
Our behavioral health team can help children ages 0-8 during a doctor’s visit, for consultations and brief therapy. We provide ongoing therapy through our Outpatient Behavioral Health program for ages 0-7 and support for parents while their babies are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as well.
Parents should talk to their doctors about including infant mental health in their child's next primary care visit.
