Описание: This is a two part series where I will be installing carpet into the front of the van in the cab area. A durable carpet and linkable exercise mats found at Lowe's made for a cheap and effective way to cover this area.

Part 1 will cover how to place, cut, and prepare the exercise mats for glue down & carpet install. The mat ended up being quite easy to cut and work with even when form fitting the contortions of the van floor. It works as a good sound and thermal insulator as well that gives a nice surface for bonding to the cab floor and the carpet on top.

Lastly, be sure to use your mat cut outs at the end as your template to cut your carpet! It makes things much easier then working with a big giant carpet that you are cutting on the fly to try and make fit into very tight and curvy areas.
