super mario sunshine is a game. a game where you spray things and jump. received uncritically by people and [redacted] alike, it quickly became the black sheep of the 3d mario franchise. but it didn't have to be this way. in order to find out why, first, i have to explain what an uncleared level is. i will proceed to do so by speedrunning the game.
