Описание: A Magistrate court ordered the remand of Aloy Ejimakor, one of the lawyers representing Nnamdi Kanu to Kuje prison for protesting over the release of Nnamdi Kanu in Abuja. The Police arrested Ejimakor and charged him alongside 12 others with various offences including criminal conspiracy, disobedience of a lawful order and the disturbance of public peace.

As a result, human rights activist Omoyele Sowore demanded why the Nigerian Bar Association remained quiet on the matter in a post on X.

Meanwhile, the Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence called on the Nigerian Bar Association to take immediate disciplinary action against Ejimakor for alleged professional misconduct.

It comes as a mere 24 hours after the protest, the detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu agreed to enter his defence and informed the Federal High Court of his plan to call witnesses including the former Minister of Defence Gen. Theophilus Danjuma, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Works Minister Dave Umahi, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State among others.

In a viral video from the #FreeNnamdiKanu protests, a clergy man was seen calling out notable pastors including Pastor Enoch Adeboye as well as Pastor Tunde Bakare, saying that instead of enjoying their tithes and offerings, they should be present at the protest as well.

In another development, a heated clash occurred on the Senate floor between Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan regarding a controversial abortion clause.

While Akpoti-Uduaghan was ruled out of order, people online debated the controversial nature of abortion legislation in Nigeria, with some saying she deserved to be heard.

The Senate also passed a new bill mandating life imprisonment for any individual found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor in a motion presented by Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

In Kano State, a magistrate court has taken the controversial decision to order two popular TikTokers, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, to get married within 60 days after viral videos showed the content creators engaged in displays considered indecent by the state.

In Edo State, a young woman identified as Aisha Wahab was seen begging for help to raise ₦20 million after being kidnapped in Auchi, on October 11. Wahab was seen with a rifle pointed at her head as she pleaded for her release, stating that her captors threatened to kill her by 5 PM on Tuesday if the money was not paid.
