However, Hobi is constantly linked to one person --- Irene Kim. According to her Wiki profile, Irene Kim is "an American model, beauty and fashion journalist, and television personality based in New York City."

Hobi has been friends with Irene for quite a long time. Here she is with Namjoon, Hobi, and Taehyung during the BTS "Love Yourself" era. Irene solidified her bond with Hobi when she was one of the few special people he invited during the Jack In The Box Listening Party. Hobi even replied to her post.

Hobi and Irene's dating rumors started way before that. The “proof” that netizens shared was of the pair sporting the same clothes, accessories, and even a teapot. Although the findings were quite impressive, Hobi and Irene's dating rumors were just based on some coincidental fashion choices. It is also worth noting that the hoodie that Hobi was wearing was from Irene's fashion brand. Now that photo is more like a friend promoting a friend's business rather than wearing a couple hoodie.

They said Jimin looked nervous that people might finally know the real score between Hobi and Irene. However, some noted that Jimin was just probably goofing around. Hey, it could be his jealous roomie personality kicking in! lol I mean, have you seen his reaction when Hobi and Becky G were having a moment together?? He even went on and wore some glasses to possibly cover how many eye rolls and side eyes he did lol Jimin also discreetly joined Hobi and Becky's conversation with his small gestures. And sometimes, not too discreet lol Jimin wants Beck out of that room asap! lol So I guess his reaction to being sandwiched by Hobi and Irene looked normal now lol

Days later, Hobi stopped by the Kaws studio in New York and they posted his quick visit. Guess who he was with. Where's Jimin when you need him?? lol Aside from that photo with Jimin's iconic expression, ChaJkaW also posted this.

Hobi and Irene's dating rumors fizzled out when Hobi enlisted in the military. But it quickly ignited when they were both present in one of Hobi's solo ventures after discharge. Let's not forget that Irene is a model and going to events is a part of her job. Here's an IG post from Eun-woo with Hobi, Audemars Piguet CEO Ilaria Resta, and Irene. While netizens were busy searching for solid proof of Hobi and Irene's romantic relationship, Irene suddenly dropped a bombshell. On January 30, Irene revealed on her Instagram that she was getting married. Just like some Korean celebrities and influencers, Irene opted to make her future husband anonymous. The only thing we saw from the lucky guy was his arm and hand.

Unsurprisingly, some speculated it could be Hobi. But me being obsessed by his hands for years. I can attest that it wasn't Hobi's hand. Irene's fiance's hand is thick and manly. Meanwhile, Hobi's hands are slender and delicate.

Just like Irene supported Hobi's career, Hobi also supported Irene's significant life milestone.
