For more than 30 years, Porsche customers have been able to enjoy extensively customised individual pieces. the latest example being the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. A sports car limited to just 500 units. Individual and elegant. Patiently enhanced by hand in the new Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur department at the headquarters in Zuffenhausen, with 100% attention to detail. In the early days, vehicle customisation ex works was carried out by the special requirements department. In 1986 this was renamed “Porsche Exclusive”. Following the introduction of the small series, this department has rebranded as “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur”, in order to underline the quality, individuality and craftsmanship of the extensive customisation programme.

The customisation programme: Bespoke finishing
To date, some 40 percent of all 911s have been customised by Exclusive Manufaktur on average. In addition, every Porsche customer is offered at least two equipment options from the customisation programme when configuring their car. There are numerous design possibilities to fit a wide variety of customer requirements. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers a broad palette of customisation possibilities, ranging from standard finishing options for series vehicles to “country editions” and limited production runs.

Individual customer vehicles and equipment options
The customisation of production vehicles is the core competence of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. It relies on the interaction between craftsmanship and technology. With a wide range of visual and technical customisation options in the areas of external and internal finishes, lighting, wheels, engine and drive, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers an extremely broad palette of options with which to turn a special production vehicle into an individual and highly personal customer vehicle. Customers can choose from a large range of colours and sophisticated materials. There are now over 600 different order options. Even customer wishes that are not covered by the customisation programme can be realised by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for selected models. Quality, technology, road safety and full compliance with international laws are ensured, as with any standard Porsche.

The individual enhancement options available through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur include aerokits, sports design packages, increased performance, sports tailpipes, painted add-on parts as well as front and rear lights. Customers can use the Exclusive Manufaktur programme to design the interior to suit their taste and choose from a wide selection of décors, leathers, exterior colours, embossments, and stitching packages in a range of colours. Combined with the exterior finishes offered by the factory and the choice of leathers, the possibilities open to the customer are endless. The most frequently selected option is the embossed Porsche coat of arms on the headrests – a first taste of our customisation offers for many customers. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur even offers additional wheel variants in a custom design featuring a special paint finish. With Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur now also has an option from the sphere of digitalisation at the ready.

Editions: Market-specific special models
To mark special occasions, the sales organisations of individual countries can choose to issue “editions” – vehicles adapted according to regional demand. These specially equipped vehicles pick up on particular themes such as special events or anniversaries. They are highly exclusive and primarily attract enthusiasts and collectors.

The coherent external and internal overall concept, individual film wraps, embossments, lettering on the decorative trims and door sill guards and other refined details on these vehicles ensure they really stand out; these features are also the brainchild of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

Limited production runs: Porsche Exclusive Series
In addition to bespoke customer vehicles, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur also produces limited small series, which demonstrate the passion and skill of the entire Exclusive Manufaktur team. Limited small series may feature body modifications (e.g. unique front/rear aprons or roof constructions) and extensive technical modifications (e.g. increases in performance) as compared with enhanced standard vehicles and editions. These vehicles combine high quality materials with modern production techniques to produce a harmonious overall concept.
