I had one more the chance to visit the beautiful city of Avignon in the south of France. It was a short trip, but filled with history, charm, and unforgettable sights.
Avignon is famous for its medieval architecture and the stunning Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes). When I walked through the old streets, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The city walls, the cobbled roads, and the ancient buildings all told stories of the past.
I also visited the famous Pont d’Avignon, a half-bridge over the Rhône River. Although only part of it remains, the view from the bridge was incredible, especially with the reflection of the sky in the water.
