Описание: This an original composition which Darmon describes as a “secular hymn.” Darmon wrote this for the 2008 Illinois All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Although it was written for a jazz group, this piece is somewhat choral in nature, containing contemporary classical harmony and phrasing. It is an introspective piece, using a simple melody with harmonic interest and development. This medium level “mood” piece suits both small and large ensembles.
