INGREDIENTS
1 Cup Milk
1/4 Tsp Black pepper
1/2 Tsp Pounded Fennel Seeds
1 pc Black Cardamon
1 pc Cinnamon
1 Pc Green Cardamon
1/2 Tsp Dry Ginger Powder
1 Pinch of Saffron
1/3 Cup Butter
1/3 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Curd
1 Cup Semolina/Sooji
2 Tbsp All-purpose Flour/ Maida
1 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp Chopped Roasted Almonds
2 Tbsp Chopped Roasted Cashewnuts
2 Tbsp Sliced Pistachio
1 Tbsp Chopped Dates
1 Tbsp Chopped Apricots
1 Tbsp Soaked Raisins
METHOD
WE COMPLETE THIS RECIPE IN THREE PARTS
PART ONE :SPICED MILK
In a saucepan add milk, black pepper powder, fennel seed, black Cardamon, cinnamon, green Cardamon and dry ginger powder.
Reduce this milk to have cover and let it infuse.
Sieve the milk when it cools down. Then add saffron to it.
PART TWO :BATTER
Take a big bowl, add butter and sugar. Whip it until it is smooth and fluffy.
Now add curd to it. Mix it well.
Add semolina and spiced milk.
Mix the batter well. Allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add all-purpose flour and mix it again. Adjust the consistency of the batter with water.
Mix in the baking powder.
Add all the dried fruit and nuts.
PART THREE : BAKING
Preheat the oven for 15 mins on 200 degree celsius
Take a cake tin. Line it with a little butter and dust it with sugar.
Add the batter.
cover the tin with a foil and prick the foil evenly.
Now take a baking pan, Put the cake tin in it. Add water to the baking pan.
Bake the cake on 180 degree celsius for about 30 minutes.
Check the cake with prick-trick
Allow the cake to cool and then demould it.
