We are joined by Timothy Garton Ash, Iuliia Osmolovska and Richard Shirreff to discuss 'The war in Ukraine: Strategic, military and historical perspectives', chaired by Charles Grant, the CER's Director.
Timothy Garton Ash is Professor of European Studies at the University of Oxford and a columnist for The Guardian.
Iuliia Osmolovska is Chairwoman of the Transatlantic Dialogue Centre and an executive director of the Eastern Europe Security Institute, both in Kyiv. She also runs AB&D Group, a consultancy on negotiations.
General Sir Richard Shirreff spent 37 years in the British army, retiring in 2016. His final military assignment was as NATO's Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe. In February 2016 he founded Strategia Worldwide, a global risk advisory company.
