The SA State Emergency Service says Port Pirie has experienced its "most significant storm event" on record when a severe thunderstorm swept through the town, damaging homes and power lines.
Residents shared on social media the damage to their homes and streets as wind gusts of 119 kilometres per hour were recorded.
