Dr. S. Larry Schlesinger, a board certified plastic surgeon in Honolulu Hawaii demo's the off label use of Juvederm Voluma for the lips. Dr. Schlesinger explains what off label means and why he likes using Voluma for his patients.

Her lips are kind of thin. And so we tried another product and it did, unfortunately, nothing. So today we're going to try Voluma.

Voluma is the same thing as Juvederm, however it's been cross linked so it's very homogenized, it fills up very nicely. It's not at all harsh like some of the other fillers.

So let's give you some fantastic lips. (music)

Let's just spread it out a little bit. So this is off label, which means the FDA doesn't approve it for this yet. Lots of medications are used off label and then once you prove the efficacy then they're not off label anymore.
