I am trying to make this channel grow and put a decent amount of work into each of these videos. I have nearly 2 full decades of anthracite coal mining experience through various forms. I also have a degree in American History. Coal & History are some of the few things I absolutely cannot get enough of and want to share this passion with.

This was an extremely fun video for me to film. I wanted my audience to see some historical anthracite paperwork that was never meant to last as long as it has. I have a few pay receipts from the infamous Knox Coal Mine where the Disaster occurred in 1959 when the Susquehanna River broke through the roof of the mine killing 12 miners and sending over 6 billion gallons of water into the mine. I also show for you in this video a check for a widow of the Avondale Coal Mine Disaster of 1869 from a Relief Fund. Then I show my viewers paper scrip for a miner's allowance of dynamite and black powder from the Lehigh Valley Coal Company.
