Five years after making it to the top of Guadalupe Peak I decided to climb it again. In the intervening five years I have dealt with heart disease, a cancer diagnosis and three years of cancer treatments (one of which I am still on currently- Lupron). I am not sure how I thought I was going to get my testosterone-free, anemic self to the highest point in Texas, again, but for some reason it seemed really important to try. I trained for it for months and even bought new hiking shoes! So how did I do? And after some retrospection what did I realize about why this "reclimb" was so important to me?
