leisuretime - everything home-made! An original ‘box-room’ band, formed in ’85. Written, recorded and produced several tracks collated on various CD’s that have been fantastically received by family, friends and a growing fan base See less
leisuretime formed in 1985 recording their first release “Fun & Games” on cassette in 1986. In the beginning compositions were written on equipment including a Roland TR606, TB303, a SH101, a JenSx1000, a guitar, bass, various tape loops and some effect pedals. Early days saw Leisuretime as runners up in the “Roland Electronic Sounds” competition judged by Paul Hardcastle and exclusive live performances however as the kit grew the ability to remain mobile took second place to creating our studio. Our ‘box-room’ studio moved to an attic space (the British type where people live in boxes, not the New York luxury variety), which evolved to a garage space set up. The home-made studios breathed life into the sounds of leisuretime. Evolving from synth and bass driven works, through to what you hear today, which involves a host of Roland drum machines & sequencers, Synth’s by Novation, Alesis, Yamaha, Roland, Korg and the Mac running Logic
