Welcome to our second #ArchaeoTech #Microlearning session! Are you all sitting comfortably? Great – it’s time for some NEOLITHIC ANIMAL BONE TOOL FACTS! 🦴😃
In this installment, ASE Archaeologist Charli explains how people in the past used cow scapulae (shoulder blades) as shovels. Subscribe for more mini lessons like this one from Charli!
Training has always been part of ASE’s remit since our 1974 beginnings (50 years ago! 😲), and ArchaeoTech is one of the ways we honour that commitment. This experimental archaeology course for UCL Institute of Archaeology students is run by ASE and IoA staff and students, and it offers them the chance to experience and recreate past processes in the beautiful setting of Butser Ancient Farm.
