British Heart Foundation London to Brighton off-road bike ride Checkpoint 2 to 3 - part 2

Описание: I took part in the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton off-road bike ride on 23rd September 2023, and completed it!

This video is the second part of the ride from checkpoint 2 to checkpoint 3. This second part of the leg to checkpoint 3 starts on a climb in the Surrey hills and then finishes in Cranleigh at checkpoint 3 where I then stopped to eat some lunch after about 25 miles travelled.

It was a long ride at around 61 miles (98 km) starting in Walton on Thames, London and finishing on Hove lawns in Brighton/Hove. I started at 9:30am and finished at around 4pm in the afternoon taking 6 hours 23 minutes including stops, about 5 hours 50 minutes moving time. The ride passed through the countryside of Surrey and West Sussex in UK, taking in some amazing scenery and wonderful views along the way.

There was a mix of flat sections along with climbs and descents, and turned into an epic day of riding, and helped to support this wonderful charity raising £585 on my Just Giving page.

Elevation gain: 3,231 ft (985 metres)
Max elevation: 703 ft (214 metres)
Moving time: 5 hours 50 minutes
Average speed: 10.5 mph (16.9 kph)


Filmed on GoPro Hero 8 in Superview to get a great field of view experience and capture the speed riding the trails.

All of the ride was completed on my Rockrider AM 100S full suspension mountain bike which performed faultlessly.
