Felbrigg Hall is a 17th-century English country house near the village of Felbrigg in Norfolk. The house and grounds passed ownership to the National Trust in 1969 after being in the Felbrigg family for generations. The library houses 5,000 books and is said to be haunted by former owner William Windham III. The spirit of William is still said to visit the library and keep watch over his beloved book collection. A volunteer who has worked in the building for many years kindly agreed to share her ghostly experience in the library when opening up the hall one morning and her story is included in the video. Felbrigg Park itself contains over 500 acres of woodland planted over many generations. Hiding in the woodland is an old icehouse and there is also a medieval church situated within the park grounds. The church tower dates from around 1410 and was built by Sir Simon de Felbrigg. The village was originally located around the church before a plague outbreak in the 16th century. Following this the village was rebuilt in a new location north-east, leaving the church isolated. Below the church is a crypt containing members of the Windham family from the end of the 17th century. The Windhams were ancestors of the original de Felbrigg family.
