I needed a shirtwaist to go with my other items of 1890s Victorian clothing, and decided to attempt transforming a used "fast fashion" men's button-down dress shirt branded as 'Perry Ellis Portfolio'.
I used the drafting instructions for "Basque number 2" from the 1896 Eureka Lady Tailor System (https://archive.org/details/everylady...) and a previous attempt at drafting this shirt as my mockup.
