Have you ever felt trapped with no way out?
In Exodus 13–14, Israel leaves Egypt at last. But freedom does not come the easy way.
God leads the people into the wilderness instead of the direct route. Not because He is unsure, but because He knows their fear. Ahead is water. Behind them is the most powerful army in the world.
Pharaoh changes his mind. His economy has collapsed. His workforce is gone. And he sends six hundred of his best chariots after the Israelites.
Panic spreads through the camp. The people turn on Moses. Fear rewrites memory. Slavery begins to sound safer than trust.
Then God steps between His people and their enemy.
The sea divides. The ground becomes dry. Walls of water stand where no walls should exist. Israel walks through the impossible while Egypt follows.
By morning, the sea returns to its place.
The army that enslaved Israel for four hundred years is gone.
Pharaoh once asked, “Who is the LORD that I should obey Him?”
Now he has his answer.
Tomorrow, Israel sings. And then the wilderness begins.

Which moment stood out to you more: the fear before the crossing, or the silence after the sea closed?
