A SPECIAL DAY AT LEGIAN BEACH: BIAWAK'S MEMORIAL & AIRSHOW

Описание: Join us in Legion Beach, Bali as we celebrate the life of our dear friend, Febri Ansyah aka Biawak, who tragically passed away in Taiwan during a trip in late 2023. Biawak was an incredible surfer and a big air guy, who loved to surf at this beach more than anywhere, so the community has created an annual Air Show Surfing Contest for all age groups to compete and have the most fun possible, in true Biawak spirit. Starting at the house with the crew loading up the car and Sinar gets behind the wheel for the drive to Legian. Arriving at the beach, Bronson takes us through the memorial and shows us Biawak's last board he rode, displayed next to a photo of him in happiness. Walking around and getting some good vibes and memories from Biawak's many friends, including Teddy and Marlon, we're quickly shown what a big positive impact Febri left. Catching up with Taina Izquierdo, she shares some heartfelt energy for Biawak and tells us what the day ahead has for us. Heading over to Made Joi as he gives us a detailed tour of the memorial, including Rio's #45 WSL jersey that he dedicated to "Febriansyah" and the grand prize, one of Rio's magic Sharp Eye surfboards. Then everyone grabs their flowers and begins the paddleout for our brother, gathering in a traditional circle to rejoice for a wonderful life and person. Shortly after, it's time for the Airshow Contest, and Kalani checks in with the local grom squad to get their heat strategy. A contest of pure fun, everyone goes out and doesn't hold back, going for every air section possible and shredding as if it were just another freesurf. After the contest, Rio and Varun share their memories of Biawak and who he was to them. Biawak forever. Thank you the waves brother.
