Toyota RAV4 hybrid VS Honda CR-V hybrid comparison//Battle of the hybrids

Описание: This is a Motormouth couple car review comparison of the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid versus the Honda CR-V hybrid compact SUVs. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has a 2.5L 4-cylinder matched to an eCVT with Toyota’s hybrid synergy drive; it produces a combined 219 horsepower, standard AWD.
The Honda CR-V Hybrid has a 2L 4-cylinder with Honda’s new 4th generation hybrid system, it’s matched to an eCVT and has a combined 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD in Canada, FWD and AWD options are available in the US. You can use regular fuel in both hybrids.The Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V have similar ground clearance, the RAV4 8.1” and the CR-V 8.2”. Both come standard with LED headlamps, LED taillamps and black roof rails. The RAV4 has 17” wheels, available 18” and a temporary spare tire. The CR-V in Canada has 19” wheels and in the US, standard 18” wheels, available 19” and a tire repair kit.
The Toyota RAV4 has so many more hybrid trims to choose from making this hybrid more budget friendly. There are also different exterior design elements that offer a sportier feel or a more rugged look like you get with the Woodland trim. In the US, the Honda CR-V hybrid has three different sport trims with black exterior accents and black wheels. In Canada, there are only two trims, both have black wheels and dual exhaust finishers. LED fog lamps are not offered on any trim of the CR-V, but they are available on the RAV4. These Hybrids offer a comfortable interior with easy to use infotainment systems. But the CR-V does have a more modern interior design with leather trimmed upholstery, it feels more upscale than the Toyota. The materials used in the RAV4 are typical Toyota grade with either fabric upholstery or Softex. Although practical, it has a more utilitarian feel. Looking forward to seeing what Toyota does with the RAV4 redesign as the interior is looking dated. The RAV4 offers 8-way power front seats and the CR-V a 10-way power driver seat but only a 4-way power passenger seat.

The CR-V has a 7” driver display and a 9” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In the US, wired is standard but available wireless. There is no option of upgrading to larger screens in the CR-V. The RAV4 on the other hand comes standard with a 7” driver display, available 12.3” and an 8” touchscreen, available 10.5” touchscreen. Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto is standard.

Since there are more trims to choose from for the RAV4, there aren’t as many standard features as the CR-V but they are all available. Both hybrids offer the following features, heated front seats, power front seats, driver seat memory, a moonroof, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charger and a power tailgate or a hands-free power tailgate. The RAV4 also has an available 11-speaker JBL sound system and the CR-V a 12-speaker Bose system.

There are two features the RAV4 has, and the CR-V does not offer on any trim, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera which is disappointing considering this model was just updated a short time ago. In the US, the RAV4 also an available panoramic sunroof but in Canada, just a moonroof.
