The time is 2149.
This is a time many decades ahead of our present world.

This is no longer the Earth that humans once knew.
A few years earlier, a devastating chemical war had taken place,
which turned the entire world into ashes.

The air became toxic,
the land turned barren,
and humans either died… or were forced to hide.

The few people who survived
built secure underground and isolated zones called Pods.

These Pods were fully automated safe shelters
where humans could live their entire lives
without ever stepping outside.

Because going outside
was equal to inviting certain death.

Our story’s main character,
Darkes,
lived alone inside one of these advanced Pods.

The Pod was equipped with every modern facility,
so Darkes never lacked anything.

But there was one thing
even this Pod could not give him.

An end to loneliness.

Like every other day,
when Darkes woke up,
the first thing he did
was send a message to his mother.

He did this every single day.

And like always,
there was
no reply.
Darkes missed his mother deeply.
But he never lost hope.

He believed
that one day
his mother would return.

While staying inside the Pod,
Darkes worked outside using machines.

He collected valuable minerals
from the surrounding areas of the Pods
through automated systems.

All of this was done
so that if a new human generation
ever came into existence,
these minerals could help them survive.

He controlled everything
with simple hand gestures.

Every day,
the same routine,
the same silence,
the same loneliness.

Sometimes,
to distract himself,
he played games.

But it was only temporary.

Because the moment
he remembered the time
spent with his mother,
his loneliness
grew even deeper.

One day,
the Pod system issued an alert.

It was a general message.

It stated that
although the outside environment
appeared slightly improved,
it was still dangerous for humans.

Therefore,
no one was allowed
to leave their Pod.

That night,
Darkes ordered his food.
The machine delivered it.

After eating,
he went to sleep.
That night slowly began to reveal secrets no one was ready to face.

Every silence around him felt louder than a scream.

The road looked familiar but something in the air felt dangerously wrong.

His heart knew the truth before his mind accepted it.

The van stopped but the fear inside him kept moving.

Shadows around him were no longer empty they were watching.

What he thought was the end was only the beginning of the real story.

Time moved forward but that moment stayed frozen forever.
