After watching a slick unloading move in The Magnificent Seven, I decided to test it for real.
In the film, the revolver is half-cocked, the loading gate is opened, and the cylinder is rotated — the spent casings fall out effortlessly.
On screen, it looks simple. Almost elegant.
In this video, together with my friend Jörg, I try the same trick using a blank-firing single-action replica, under controlled and safe conditions.
First with unfired blank cartridges.
Then after firing all six shots.
The results are… instructive.
