MP Boat Mishap News: 7 Dead As Cruise Boat Capsizes In Jabalpur's Bargi Dam Despite IMD Alert

Описание: A pleasure cruise boat capsized in the Bargi Dam in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, due to sudden stormy weather and strong winds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. The incident occurred despite the India Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for the region. Around 30 to 40 passengers were on board when the vessel overturned. Rescue operations involving the army, police, and disaster management teams are currently underway. Divers equipped with oxygen cylinders are breaking the glass of the sunken cruise cabin to retrieve bodies. The death toll has reached seven, with the latest three bodies recovered directly from inside the cabin. Most of the recovered bodies are of females. High tides and rocky terrain initially hampered the rescue efforts, but operations have sped up as the weather cleared. Authorities fear that several missing passengers may still be trapped in the lower section of the sunken cruise.
