Directed/produced by William Dickson and shot by William Heise for the Edison company, This one-reel peep show -alongside sioux ghost dance which was filmed on the same day - Are the earliest films to feature native Americans. All the stars are Sioux performers from Buffalo Bill's wild west show.
The library of congress provides their names as follows:-
Drummers: Pine, Strong talker
Dances: Last Horse, Parts his hair, Hair coat.
This was filmed in the Black Maria studio in West Orange, New Jersey using a kinetograph to be displayed by a kinetoscope. 35mm film, 30 frames per second.
