Tuomas Holopainen revealed in a finnish interview, that "Alpenglow" is a love song. He explained, that there are enough terrible songs like for a example "Always" by Bon Jovi and the secret is, to approach universal themes like love or death from a different perspective and to translate this into music.

Track number 7 of the album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful (Orchestral Version)" by Nightwish. This version is straight from the CD featured in the Earbook edition, as it features a great mastering (compared to today's standard at least).

Since this is my all-time favourite track from any musician ever, I'll upload it anyway, even though it is easily accessible. Besides, it features this wonderful artwork by Janne Pitkänen.
