Hey Explorers! I am so excited to finally share this journey with you as a solo woman traveler. Being back in Brazil after over a decade felt like a true homecoming, especially through the lens of the Gastronomia Preta festival. This event celebrates ancestral knowledge and Black entrepreneurship, highlighting the incredible Afro-Brazilian chefs who are the heartbeat of the city's culinary world.

We aren't just stopping at the festival, though. I’m taking you along for a full food tour for the freshest pineapple you've ever tasted, sip on sugarcane juice with lime, and explore the streets of Lapa. Even with the jet lag, the energy of the music and the warmth of the people made every bite worth it.
