I took my windrider 17 off the trailer to drag it across the ground and see how hard it would be for just me to do. turns out it's quite doable with the right set up. the Everglades Challenge race starts on the beach and everyone has to pull their boats from above the hightide mark into the water to start the race without outside help. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it until today. I hope my video can give you confidence in starting on the beach.
I also installed a keel protector since I will be hitting rocks and bottoming out in the shallow water. it was just a peel and stick type of protector but hopefully it lasts through the race.
