Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship PA/Announcement Chime Compilation, Version 2

Описание: When cruising, there’s a sound often heard throughout the day — the PA / Announcement Chime. Whether it’s an update from the captain or a list of activities from the cruise director, this tone signals that something interesting is about to happen.
But have you ever noticed that different ships have very distinct chimes?
In this video, you’ll hear twelve distinct PA tones from seven Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
Following the popularity of the first version of this video, I’m excited to bring you this expanded second edition — now featuring three new ships!
This collection is still a work in progress, and I look forward to continuing to grow it in future videos.

Note: Some ships share identical chimes. Even so, each has been captured and included here for completeness. While photos of ships are present, the real star of this video is the audio. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the chimes.

0:04 Vision of the Seas – 4th and Final Vision Class Ship (1998)
Different chimes are used depending on who is speaking.
A low-pitched four-note ascending chime is used for general announcements and guest services.
A three-note ascending chime is used for the cruise director.
A four-note Westminster chime is used for the captain and all safety-related announcements. Other Vision class ships unknown.

0:15 Voyager of the Seas – 1st Voyager Class Ship (1999)
Different chimes used depending on the speaker.
The four-note Westminster chime was used for cruise director announcements, while three-note chimes were used for all others. The ship features two versions of the three-note chime: one ascending and one descending. Only the descending version was captured, and a single-note chime was used to indicate the end of announcements. These are the same tones used on Vision of the Seas.
These chimes also appear to be in use on Navigator of the Seas, the 4th Voyager-class ship. Other Voyager-class ships use different chimes.

0:23 Brilliance of the Seas – 2nd Radiance Class Ship (2002)
A tubular-bell chime. Variants are heard on all Radiance-class ships except Radiance of the Seas, which uses the Quantum-class chime.
Two chimes are featured: a rare single-note chime used for safety announcements and crew drills, and a slower two-note “ding-dong” used for general announcements — the primary chime heard throughout the cruise.

0:28 Serenade of the Seas – 3rd Radiance Class Ship (2003)
A tubular-bell chime similar to Brilliance, but much faster. Variants are heard on all Radiance-class ships except Radiance of the Seas, which uses the Quantum-class chime.
A quick two-note “ding-dong” served as the main announcement tone. Like Brilliance, a single-note chime was used for safety announcements and crew drills. That single-note version wasn’t captured here, but you can hear it in the Brilliance section.

0:32 Liberty of the Seas – 2nd Freedom Class Ship (2007)
A lively four-note ascending chime, likely used across all Freedom-class ships.

0:35 Symphony of the Seas – 4th Oasis Class Ship (2018)
A three-note ascending chime — one of the most recognizable PA tones across multiple cruise lines.
Also heard on Harmony of the Seas; other Oasis-class ships use different chimes. This same three-note ascending chime is also used on Vision and Voyager.

0:39 Odyssey of the Seas – 5th and Final Quantum Class Ship (2021)
A faster three-note ascending chime with a longer final tone. Used on all Quantum-class ships, Radiance of the Seas, and Icon of the Seas.
