The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the governing body of motorcycle racing is all set to introduce new rules to include 800cc triples and 900cc twin class in the WorldSSP Championship. In anticipation of the announcement, MV Agusta has unveiled the 2022 F3 RR, the ultimate version of the Italian brand's middleweight supersports.
The most obvious change in the 2022 MV Agusta F3 RR is in its design. Though the supersport doesn't deviate much from the original design, the new aerodynamic package adds new side-mounted strakes, an updated windscreen, and a new race-inspired front fender that directs more air to the radiator. All of the components contribute 7.7kg of downforce at 241kmph.
But the changes to the F3 RR aren't just skin deep. MV Agusta has already updated the 798cc inline triple for 2021. This engine now packs new crank and conrod bearings, new fuel injectors, and a new clutch basket. The bike now develops 149PS at 13,200rpm and 88Nm at 10,100rpm.
