Ft. Worth 2-Man Class & MatchPlay at World Championship Blacksmiths Horseshoeing Competition

I just went to the WCB contest in Ft. Worth, Texas where they had their season finale for the 2023 season. I'll bring you along through some of the "MatchPlay" goes and 2-Man goes. Also meet the Judges of the contest, Gregoire Faquembergue and Mathieu Delcroix from France! MatchPlay is a speed forging class where you look at a foot for 10 seconds and then we'd build 3/4 fullered horseshoes out of 3/8"x1" steel with a toe clip in 6 minutes! It's a double elimination style bracket process to find out who is the winner but also as the classes go on, time in the class will be dropped down to 10 minutes and so on.
Then in the 2-Man class we had to build a Eurobar Barshoe Horse Shoe out of 12"x1/2"x1.25" and an Onion Heel shoe out of 12"x1/2"x1" steel. This class you are allowed a striker for all categories. There were over 120 competitors at this contest! I think 20 Novice competitors and 100 Category competitors. It was a lot tougher than people thought!!
