About the Track:
"Loaded Dice" stands out as a unique entry in the Heart Eater tracklist. While frontman Zed Foland penned most of the album's hits, this track was the sole writing contribution from bassist Jack Almond.

The song is deeply personal and relentlessly heavy. Almond wrote the lyrics about his father, a small-time gambler who struggled to raise him while constantly running from debt collectors in the London underworld.

Critics in 1969 called it "the heaviest groove on the record," and it became a staple of their live shows, often extended into a ten-minute jam where Almond would take center stage.
