Sometimes they even feel adventurous, like cutting through a vacant lot on the way to school instead of taking the long, boring road. But other shortcuts? Not so helpful. The quick turn through a gas station to beat a red light can end in frustration—or even a flashing set of lights behind you. The short way can sometimes become the long way. This Sunday, we’ll look at Abraham and Sarah and a shortcut they took while waiting on God’s promise. God had spoken clearly, but the waiting was hard. Their decision to rush ahead brought consequences they never expected. In our message, “Shortcuts,” we’ll talk about how to recognize when a shortcut is helpful—and when it’s pulling us away from God’s best—and how learning to trust God’s timing leads to peace, blessing, and purpose.
