How to sweep a sketch along a path in xDesign, the online 3D CAD option that is part of 3DEXPERIENCE from Dassault Systemes, makers of SolidWorks and CATIA.
Sweep along with extrude, loft and revolve are the four fundamental ways to take a flat sketch and create a 3D solid. Sweep takes a closed sketch profile and moves it along a path, leaving a solid behind in the space that it sweeps out.
Created for use in the Voyager Middle School STEAM Lab class with middle school students.
