Описание: Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm in 1979. Originally known as Force, the band changed its name to Europe in 1982. They rose to international fame in the mid-1980s with their breakout album “The Final Countdown” (1986), which included the global hit title track that became one of the most iconic rock anthems of the decade.

The band was founded by lead vocalist Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum, and its classic 1980s lineup also featured John Levén (bass), Mic Michaeli (keyboards), and Ian Haugland (drums). Their music blends hard rock, glam metal, and melodic elements, often driven by powerful keyboards and soaring guitar solos.

"The Final Countdown", released in 1986, sold over 15 million copies worldwide and launched the band to superstardom. The title track hit No. 1 in 25 countries and remains their signature song to this day.

Despite their success, John Norum left the band in late 1986 due to creative differences and was replaced by Kee Marcello, who played on the albums "Out of This World" (1988) and "Prisoners in Paradise" (1991).
