Описание: JU STUDENT DEATH: News The Truth accessed the entirety of the ‘Final Report’ that was submitted to the Jadavpur University authorities by the Internal Investigating Committee who probed into the unfortunate death of the minor who fell off the second floor balcony of the A2 block of the Jadavpur University Main Boys Hostel. Each and every page of the 46 page report speaks of unthinkable horrors that the first year student was subjected to. Moreover, it has exposed the dark side of the menace of ragging that has plagued the residents of the hostel for long. With little to no security measures in place, the super seniors or ex-students who illegally lodge in the hostels, have unleashed a reign of terror upon the freshers, who in turn have no other option but to oblige. One cannot help but wonder how the authorities failed to take cognizance of such recurrent incidents of ragging. It took the death of a 17 year old student for the authorities and the society at large to wake up from their slumber. Did you know that the minor was subjected to sexual abuse? Did you know that the he was made to hurl abuses at the residents of the adjacent police quarters? Did you know that the freshers residing at the A2 block are made to roam around in briefs and forced to rub their noses against the walls? Did you know that the victim had no clothes on his body when he fell off the balcony? The Final Report speaks of these and much more.
