Esomeprazole pellets are available as enteric coated pellets and are used to fill in hard gelatin capsules.How much weight of these esomeprazole EC pellets should be filled in hard gelatin capsules shell for 20 mg or 40 mg dose.
For 20 mg esomeprazole, enteric coated pellets are usually available as 8.5% & for 40 mg these are available as 22.5%.
8.5% mean the 100 mg of esomeprazole EC pellets contain 8.5 mg of esomeprazole & remaining 91.5 mg are other excipients which are used for manufacturing of these pellets.
