Pronouns (sava-naama)
Definition: A pronoun is a word that used instead of a noun.
Examples: He, Himself, Both, Anyone, What, Who, This, Somebody, None etc.
Examples in Sentences:
Vina arrived late. Vina had a headache.
Vina arrived late. She had a headache.
Raman reads in class XI. Raman is an obedient student.
Raman reads in class XI. He is an obedient student.
Types of Pronouns

Definition: Personal pronouns are used instead of nouns for persons or things.
Examples:
My uncle lives in the USA.
He lives in the USA.
I saw Rama yesterday.
I saw her yesterday.
Note: Personal pronouns are placed either as a subject or as an object within a sentence.
POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS
Definition: Possessive pronouns show possession of something. We use them to show the relationship between people and objects.
Examples:
This is Catherine.
She is cousin of mine.
Whose jacket is this.
This is his.
DISTRIBUTIVE PRONOUNS
Definition: A distributive pronoun refers to one person, animal, or thing at a time. These pronouns
are each, neither and either.
Examples:
Each of the boys gets the award.
Either of the boys wins the race.
Neither of the girls wants to play.
Each of them attends the meeting.
Note: The pronouns each, neither and either should be paired with plural nouns and singular verbs.
